Brian Plummer paints mainly in oils on canvas using knives rather than brushes.
His subjects include portraits, landscapes, and still life. He has concentrated on motifs in and around Salisbury in Wiltshire where he lives.
He prefers to paint en plein air using a pochade box and sometimes uses these works to develop larger paintings in his studio. He also produces limited edition prints from woodblocks in more abstract styles basing his subjects on nature, poetry and classical literature. He uses single block, multi block and the reduction method to print these on Japanese paper.
This website covers a small selection of his work.
